Preview Service #1

Hey Canyoneers!

On July 31st, we had over 50 people there waiting for the arrival of our "product" that would serve as the missing pieces in turning the Stone Canyon Elementary School into a house of worship! We quickly realized the air conditioning was not functioning and it was going to be a hot day, as it was over 100 degrees outside.

After about a hour and a half delay, the product was there and the work was on its way! Portable Church Industries came out and assisted us in our venture and we are very thankful for their support and professionalism!

We had another delay as the lunch was about an hour late. The food was great, but the pizza eatery will remain unnamed :(

After about 8 hours of training and trouble shooting we called it a day and headed home to recharge for the preview service the following day.

On Sunday, August 1st, we had a head count of 107. Not too bad for a preview weekend with zero invitations to the public, so this was basically our launch team and their kids.

There were a few technical issues but we learned a lot from this weekend and tomorrow we will have a preview service open to the public. If you read this in time, come help us out at the school at 7PM tonight to set things up, and tomorrow morning at 930 to get prepared for the 11am service!

We have intentionally only invited un-churched people to view this preview service and we are super excited to see what kind of response we get!

Tomorrow is a big step in God reaching people in our community that are disconnected from him or have never been connected.

We begin our next chapter in FCC's history tomorrow as we share the message of Jesus Christ!
