Empty Seats, Empty Hearts, Empty Souls

Recently we delivered 300 chairs to the Stone Canyon elementary school. In just over a month, we will give the public an opportunity to sit in these seats, thus "filling" them up. Although this is super exciting as the pieces of the puzzle begin to arrive for turning a school into a portable campus, this is a time to really think about what we are doing.

Do we want the seats to be filled, or do we want those in the seats to be filled? Sometimes we can get so caught up in the numbers that we can see, it is in our nature. As we get closer, I can't help but think that God is more concerned with what we can't easily see, and that is what the people in the seats are being filled with.

We all have voids in our life that we inherently try to fill. Some people are filled with anger, guilt, shame, lies, filth, addictions, hurt, pain, and even hate.

As we draw near to the Premier Services at Stone Canyon, it is my prayer that God will fill the hearts of those in the "seats" with the fruit of the Holy Spirit!

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness gentleness and self‑control.

What are you filled with?
