Well we have had 4 weekends of services at our FCC at Stone Canyon Campus. Things have gone very smoothly and we really couldn't have asked for anything more! God has brought us visitors each week and many of them have come back again!
Our weekly average attendance has been 150 people. About 2/3's of this number is our launch team, the rest is made up from people from our other campus checking things out, and from visitors!
We are already seeing people disconnected from Christ and his church, reconnect in a new way!
NUMBERS:
Although the weekly attendance is typically the indicator people have looked at for many years to determine how a church is doing in their community, we at Stone Canyon want to focus on a different set of NUMBERS. We want to focus on the NUMBER of broken marriages restored, the NUMBER of addictions overcome, the NUMBER of lives given to Jesus. The NUMBER of people with physical and spiritual needs met! This is the kind of NUMBERS we are about!
The reality is, many of these things I just listed, take place during the week, and we have no guarantee that the lives effected by the ministry of FCC at Stone Canyon will ever join us in a worship service. Although we hope that they will come and celebrate with us on Sunday mornings, we will remain focused on the ministry and let that weekly attendance number take care of itself!
So this week, we will focus on this 1 week. We will focus on how God will work through us to see his work done. This week we have 1 more week to go. Next week, we will start it all over again!
